If the peace issues don’t get into the news, don’t get enough coverage, is it only the fault of journalists? Is it solely a matter of censorship? Shouldn’t we blame ourselves for not giving the right signals to those who can spread our message around, a message that needs to be heard even by those who disagree?While the media is a tool that no one should underestimate, let’s make sure that peace activists improve their understanding of the media, and try to work hand in hand with those (including whistleblowers or reporters on the front lines) whose duty is to make sure that the important issues in which we believe are not distorted or sidelined.
