As the world changes, so does the role of the peace movement. Perhaps we should say peace movements, since the communities working for a more peaceful world have proliferated and diversified greatly over the last decades. One of our challenges is to find new ways to partner with other movements within the civil society; another is to find more effective means of influencing decision-makers. IPB’s Action Agenda – to be launched formally at the final plenary of the Congress – is an attempt to put together a vision and a broad plan of work for the coming few years. It is not a summary report of the Congress, nor a plan for the whole peace movement. It is a road map offered to our own network. The workshop is an opportunity to exchange ideas on how we can put the Agenda into operation. We welcome contributions both from those who are IPB members and those who are not. Copies of the text will be made available to all.
